- Be nice, and we'll be nice back
What Coordy Is
Coordy is a simple web tool that converts map links and coordinates into formats that work with Garmin devices. That's it. We're not trying to be anything more complicated than that.
We provide this service for free because we think coordinate conversion shouldn't be a pain. Our goal is to help you get from a Google Maps link to your next adventure as quickly as possible.

✓ What You Can Do
- • Convert any map links or coordinates for personal use
- • Use it for planning trips, adventures, or work
- • Share Coordy with friends and colleagues
- • Use it as often as you need
- • Rely on it for accurate coordinate conversion
✗ What You Can't Do
- • Try to break or hack the service
- • Use it for anything illegal or harmful

- • Copy our code or design without permission
- • Use it to violate others' privacy or rights
Accuracy & Reliability
We Do Our Best
We work hard to make sure Coordy gives you accurate coordinates. We test it regularly, use reliable conversion methods, and fix bugs as soon as we find them.
But Double-Check Important Stuff
Like any tool, Coordy isn't perfect. If you're using coordinates for something important (like emergency services, aviation, or critical navigation), please verify them with another source. We're great for hiking and road trips, but always use official sources for life-critical situations.
Service Availability
We aim to keep Coordy running 24/7, but sometimes things happen:
- • Server maintenance and updates
- • Unexpected technical issues
- • Problems with our hosting providers
- • Major internet outages
We'll do our best to minimize downtime and let you know about planned maintenance when possible.
Your Data & Privacy
We don't store your coordinates or map links. Once we convert them and send back the result, we forget what you entered. For more details, check out our Privacy Policy.
By using Coordy, you're okay with us processing your coordinates temporarily to give you the conversion. That's pretty much it.
Liability & Responsibility
What We're Responsible For
- • Providing accurate coordinate conversion to the best of our ability
- • Keeping your data private (by not storing it)
- • Fixing bugs and improving the service
- • Being transparent about how Coordy works
What We're Not Responsible For
- • Getting lost because you entered coordinates wrong
- • Problems with your GPS device or mapping software
- • Navigation errors caused by outdated maps
- • Any damages from using Coordy (though we hope that never happens)
- • Third-party services that Coordy might link to
Fair Use
Coordy is free for everyone, but please be reasonable:
- • Don't send thousands of automated requests
- • Don't try to overload our servers
- • Don't use it for commercial scraping or data mining
- • If you need high-volume access, reach out to us first
We might need to limit access if someone's using too many resources, but we'll try to contact you first to work something out.
Intellectual Property
The Coordy website, design, and code belong to us. You're welcome to:
- • Use the service as intended
- • Link to Coordy from your website or social media
- • Share screenshots or tell people about it
But please don't copy our design, code, or content without asking. If you want to build something similar, we're happy to chat about it.
Changes to These Terms
We might need to update these terms occasionally. When we do, we'll:
- • Post the new version here
- • Update the "last updated" date
- • Let you know about major changes through the website
If you keep using Coordy after we update the terms, that means you're okay with the changes.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws where we operate. If there's ever a legal dispute (which we hope never happens), we'll try to resolve it through friendly discussion first.
Contact Us
Got questions about these terms? Think something should be different? We're always open to feedback and suggestions.
You can reach us through our website or find us on social media. We promise to respond like humans, not robots.
